First weddings of the year are always an exciting one for me, so I couldn’t be happier to present Josh & Phung’s wedding at The Vue in Charlotte. This special day took place only a few weeks ago, but we were blessed with a bright and sunny day despite the unpredictability of spring weather in the Carolinas.
The first part of the wedding commenced at the Dunhill Hotel in downtown Charlotte. We had tons of natural light pouring through the windows and bouncing off the yellow walls, which made capturing the bridal party and all the important details a pleasant task. I was really happy to be able to plow through it swiftly and gracefully – and I’m still so proud of these portraits taken before the first look.
Being in uptown Charlotte is always a bonus for me because it gives me prime access to really amazing locations, so after the getting ready session, we headed down to The Green for the first look. As a photographer, the first look is always an exciting moment to capture because the emotions and expressions I often see are priceless! You can almost feel the anticipation of Josh, Phung, and their loved ones through the photos below. Following that was the church ceremony and then a small reception at The Vue. I was smitten with the floor to window ceilings of The Vue’s Clubhouse, which provided such panoramic views of Charlotte. Although cozy, it definitely fit the vibe of this couple and their friends and family. I also loved having access to the rooftop which made an amazing backdrop!
Overall, I’m really happy with the way this set turned out – and hope you guys enjoy looking through them!
