Asheville Engagement Session with Josh and Phung

Over the weekend, I had the pleasure of shooting Josh & Phung’s engagement in Asheville, NC. This was an exciting time for me because I have never shot in the mountains before. The drive to Asheville was a beautiful sight with the yellow leaves peaking through the mountains and gliding off the trees. Once we arrived, we immediately realized we underestimated the weather – the temperatures were frigid, but huge props to Josh and Phung for braving through the freezing temps.

We started off in downtown Asheville, taking advantage of the charming architecture and then headed off to Looking Glass Falls. The light was really amazing and helped me create warm, cozy portraits that I often envy on Pinterest. The waterfall and golden leaves really made a stunning backdrop. Then, we spontaneously ventured off the roads until we came across a empty field that rendered that rustic scenery my clients so desired. One of the benefits of being in the mountains is the unwavering amount of non-destructive fields that make photogenic locations. I will definitely consider the Asheville for destinations in the future.

Overall, I was really happy with the final results and hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
