Wedding season is officially in full swing and these next few months will be busy, but first, let’s dive into my latest mountain engagement session with David and Cady. I knew the NC mountains would be beautiful going off of my trip last fall, but had no idea what it would be like in the spring. I know now that our mountains are abundant in natural beauty no matter the season.
This particular set took place at the Balsam Mountain Preserve, a private community in Sylva, NC, and it was perfect for capturing David and Cady’s personalities. They’re not your average couple – both love the tough biker look and rustic, outdoors farm life. My goal was to capture all of it in a few hours. We started off with their edgy leather outfits and bike outside a cabin, then took advantage of the horse stable and grassy hills. The first part of the shoot was challenging because despite shooting in late April, the trees were still bare and it was surprisingly cold. We then concluded the shoot at an overlook sitting above the beautiful golf course during sunset – and that was a magical moment. Hope you guys enjoy this set!
