We’ve been dying to share this Mint Museum Uptown Charlotte wedding for so many months now but had to hold off on it because it was accepted as a feature on South Asian Bride Magazine, and we wanted them to have the honor of publishing it first. We absolutely love shooting cultural weddings and Indian weddings are no doubt full of age-old traditions – there was so much to capture.
Parin and Jessica’s wedding was unique because it infused both eastern and western traditions. We kicked it off with the Garba the night before the wedding at the Westin in Uptown Charlotte, and then had an early start the following day. Jessica opted out of the classic white gown and wore a traditional Indian bridal dress, which she looked absolutely stunning in (especially combined with the henna tattoo).
We captured their first look and bridal party photos at the Mint Museum before moving onto the Baraat, one of our favorite parts of the day! Once the Baraat was over, the traditional Indian ceremony commenced followed by a quick western vow exchange and then everyone shifted up a few floors into the reception area. It was such a magical evening with the upbeat music, rich flavors, and city backdrop. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect couple. Hope you guys enjoy this Mint Museum Uptown Charlotte wedding!
